I dont know if anyone out there knows this But I have just found something out about my variator. You have to make sure at Wide Open Throttle your belt is going all the way to the top of the (variator) pulley. If not you will be turning A LOT of RPMs. Heres what to do, Take it apart and file off the center (rear side) of the front half of pulley The one with the fan blades on it. After filing awhile hold the two halves together and lay the belt in it. See how far up the belt will be riding. Keep filing till you get the belt up to the top of pulley. Reassemble and test run. I am running 14g weights. I weigh 190lbs. The scoot had tremendous pull with 14s. I went from running about 55 top speed turning 8K rpms to running about 63 mph turning only 6K rpms Hope this helps out thanks neil
