The StradaVariator Chronicles 

In August I replaced the QianJiang 49cc 2 stroke scooter that I bought new a year earlier with a 2006 bright red Strada RX150TE scooter.  I wanted to go a lot more places which would take me into traffic I didn't feel I belonged in with a 49cc scooter.  That's when I started looking at 150cc scooters. The StradaVariator is what I call my Strada RX150TE (Touring Edition).
The StradaVariator Chronicles starts out as a step-by-step story of how with budget mods, one can take a relatively inexpensive scooter and make it a machine worthy of its name.  Turning it into a scooter that is well suited for touring on 55mph two lane state highways, my preferred way to travel, whether riding or driving. It's less hectic, with a lot more to see!
I'll be sharing my rides through the Blog, and through pictures that will link to this page, the doorway to the StradaVariator blog.  The early posts in the blog were taken from dated notes and posts I made in the first few months after I got my Strada scooter. They tell of my experiences in the fall of 2006 learning about its performance, and finding out how it responded to modifications.
